Carbon construction guide

Specify which components use carbon

Carbon may be used in the shaft, the blade or both. List each component separately, together with the intended use, overall length and section format.

For an accurate quotation
Include the paddle family, blade material, shaft material, fixed or adjustable construction, number of sections and preferred finish. Available combinations depend on the model.
01 / Shaft construction

Carbon Fiber Shaft Paddle

A carbon fiber shaft is paired with a model-specific composite blade. Depending on the family, the blade may use reinforced PP, reinforced nylon or fiberglass.

Include the blade material, shaft diameter, overall length and section count.
02 / Complete construction

Full Carbon Fiber Paddle

Both the blade and shaft are carbon fiber. Use this description only when the selected model and quotation specify carbon for both components.

Include the connection, grip, finish and fixed or multi-piece format.
03 / Material requirement

Carbon Fiber Paddle

Use this description when carbon is required but the final blade and shaft combination is still open. The quotation should state the material of each component.

Include SUP, kayak, canoe or dragon boat use so we can match an applicable model.
04 / Blade component

Full Carbon Fiber Blade

This term describes the blade itself. It does not mean the shaft or complete paddle is full carbon fiber.

Include the blade profile, dimensions, shaft connection and surface finish.

Paddle sourcing FAQ

Questions buyers ask before quotation

Clear answers on product selection, materials, customization and commercial terms.

What types of paddles does Vision Sports manufacture?

Vision Sports manufactures SUP, kayak, canoe, dragon boat, wooden and kids paddles, plus 2-in-1 SUP/kayak configurations. Product options cover recreational, touring, whitewater, club and racing applications.

How should buyers start a paddle selection?

Begin with the intended application and target user. Then compare blade profile and material, shaft construction, overall length and section format to find the closest model.

What is the difference between a carbon shaft paddle and a full carbon paddle?

A carbon fiber shaft paddle may still use a composite blade. A full carbon fiber paddle has both a carbon fiber blade and a carbon fiber shaft.

Can blade and shaft materials be combined freely?

No. Each model has specific material, connection, shaft diameter and section options. Send the preferred combination with your enquiry and we will identify the applicable model.

Are adjustable and multi-piece paddles available?

Yes. Adjustable and multi-piece options are available for selected SUP and 2-in-1 SUP/kayak models. The exact length range and number of sections depend on the model.

Which information should a paddle RFQ include?

Include the paddle family, intended use, target quantity, preferred blade and shaft materials, overall length, section configuration, logo or graphics, packaging needs and whether a sample is required.

Are the listed specifications final for every order?

No. The values shown apply to the listed models. Your quotation will state the final dimensions, material combination, appearance and commercial terms for the selected product.

Is a standard MOQ or lead time published?

No. MOQ and lead time depend on the model, construction, customization, sample status and packaging requirements. Both will be stated in the quotation for your project.
